I have just gone through and posted some photos without any real desriptions, just so you know whats going on, i started trying to post a video tour of our house which in the end is just a picture of our street, i will try and fix that at some point. After that is some photos of Mick and Mels wedding (Chickos brother) that we went to back in Inverell and after that is just some pictures from around the Pilbara.

We are finally settled in Port Hedland we lived in a temporary house for a while but are now in our new house which is great. We have a great back deck which inspired us to purchase a BBQ and outdoor table and chairs. I am writing this after coming inside from the deck where we just had lunch which was BBQed threadfin salmon we caught about 2 hours ago. Today would have been our best fishing day yet! Everytime we threw our line in we pulled in a salmon or a bream, we threw alot back cause there was no way would ever eat them all.

The photos I am posting now are from 80 mile beach which is just north of Port Hedland and just before Broome. I think we got a couple of photos today of our fish but I'll post them later

see you
Pia and Chicko

Hi all

sorry for the delay in posting, have been busy moving to Port Hedland.

Last week I finally packed up and left Perth to move to Port Hedland, chicko has been up here for 5 weeks already with work so i decided it was probably time i came up too. I had an awsome couple of weeks before i left with everyone in Perth, pitty i don't have the photos from that to post but i will try and track some down. Chicko came back to help me pack, we had a bit of a farewell at the pub then off on the plane in the morning.

So I have been here a week now and have been working this week at the Department of Indigenous Affairs just filling in while someone is away, i will be there for a couple of weeks by then i will hopefully have found permanent work. There are heaps of jobs here so i am not to worried at this stage.

Yesterday (Saturday), Chicko and i went for a drive to Karratha and Point Samson for a look. Point Samson was beautiful. The water was so clear and warm and just beautiful. I definately will be going back there. There are alot of islands around Point samson i think called the archipelogo islands, when we get a boat we will be able to explore them a bit better and yes we are thinking about getting a little boat.

i have a few photos of yesterday that i will put up, later on today we are going fishing so will post some photos of that as well.

also a big congratulations to Ange and Ant who got engaged last week!!! and to Kirkers and Luke wo also got engaged! What a romantic week last week must have been.

Port Hedland

Chicko has moved to Port Hedland, I am yet to visit but have spent some time trying to find photos and so far this is all i have got.

I think this picture is of a big salt pile and from what i understand the whole town is covered in red dust and looks like the first photo.

The other picture is a lot nicer but i think it is a trick so you think Port Hedland is a lovely place, as the name describes there is a massive Port in port hedland where BHP and Rio Tinto do a lot of exporting from and hopefully chicko will get some cows out of there too.

Also you would probably be aware that a big cyclone has just gone through Hedland, chicko was lucky enough to be staying at the caravan park in a cabin and managed to survive the storm. He is moving into a house this weekend so i just hope it hasn't been damaged so he can still move in.
I'll get some more on Port Hedland later, i am heading out now to see Roger compete in a traiahthlon I'll keep you posted on how he goes and hopefully we will be able to snap a pic of him in his speedos to post in here, hahaha.
